Michelle Simpson LMT

Massage Practice Policies

As a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), I follow the Codes of Ethics for Massage Therapists set forth by the Georgia Board of Massage Therapy, the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and the National Certification Board for Theraputic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB). All information you provide, both written and verbally, will remain completely confidential as required by law. I will treat you fairly and ethically, and will establish an atmosphere of trust and decency during each session. I ask the same in return from you.

All massage services provided by this practice are non-sexual. No sexual conversation or behavior will be tolerated by either the massage therapist or the client at any time. Any inappropriate words, jokes, or suggestions by the client will result in the immediate termination of the massage session without refund.

Clients may undress to their comfort level. All clients will be covered and draped with clean linens at all times. Only the area being worked on will be undraped.

Clients 18 years or younger must have the consent of a parent or guardian. Any client can request a friend or relative to accompany them in the massage session if this will help the client feel more comfortable; and provided the person accompanying does not disrupt the session or behave in any inappropriate manner.

Cancellation and rescheduling

In consideration of the therapist and other clients, please provide 24 hours prior notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. The first late cancellation or no-show will be charged half the price of the scheduled service. Additional no-shows will be charged the full price of the service missed and will require prepayment in full to book future appointments.

Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you are early, please wait quietly in the lobby and be respectful of other clients and therapists. If you are running late for your appointment, please call to let me know. Your remaining treatment time will be utilized to provide the best possible massage service and the full fee will be charged.

If you are feeling ill or think you may be coming down with something, please call before your scheduled appointment. It is often in both the client’s and therapist’s best interest to reschedule appointments in this case. Likewise, please understand if the therapist is ill and needs to reschedule.
